  2. About Frame Filter
  3.  
  4. This Cumulus filter can catalog FrameMaker 3, FrameMaker 4 and FrameBuilder 4 documents. The file type is “FASL”. If the document does not contain a preview it is represented by the FrameMaker document icon.

  6. Type-specific information can be read from the document if the Cumulus Frame Adapter was installed in your FrameMaker 4 or FrameBuilder 4 folder when the document was saved.

  8. In order to get these type-specific information you have to do the following:
  9.  
  10. 1. Install the Cumulus Frame Adapter into the “Modules” folder of FrameMaker 4 or FrameBuilder 4.
  11. 2. Start FrameMaker 4 or FrameBuilder 4.
  12. 3. Open the document you want the information for.
  13. 4. Save the document under the same name.
  14. 5. Update the record that corresponds to the document in the Cumulus database.
